¿I can fill premium gas in a Ford Ranger?
I have a 1997 Ford Ranger with about 154 thousand miles starts and runs perfect! (A little slow however). I said to satisfy premium gasoline, because my car has a lot of miles, old, and will clean up my engine to last longer. I I have no owner's manual, so do not know if you can or can not comply with the premium gas in my truck. I can do this and help or I'm losing my Ranger money?

In addition, vehicles certified to California emission standards (vehicle emission label under the hood of control information) are designed to operate on trees in California reformulated. If the reformulated gasoline in California is not available when you refuel your vehicle can be used in different California fuel. However, even if your engine is working properly in other species, the performance of emission control devices and systems may be adversely affected. Repairing damage caused by the use of fuel that your vehicle is not designed to not be covered by the warranty. Recommendations Octane His vehicle is designed to use regular gasoline with an annotation (R + M) / 2 of 87 octane. We do not recommend gasolines labeled "Regular" in high altitude areas that are sold with octane index of 86 or less. Do not worry if your vehicle sometimes called lightly. However, if you hit hard in most driving conditions the fuel octane recommended, consult your dealer or a qualified technician to avoid damaging the motor. Fuel Quality If you are experiencing problems with starting, rough idle or hesitation, try another brand of fuel. If the problem persists, contact your dealer or a qualified technician. The American Automobile Manufacturers Association (AAMA) has published a specification for gasoline to provide information on high fuel quality that enhance the performance of your vehicle. The use of species that meet AAMA specification if available. You should not need to add products alternative to the fuel tank if you continue to use high-quality fuels. _________ So, to answer your question (s) … No, do not listen is to tell you to use the premiums.
